Golf is unique from other sports because players learn values like honesty and responsibility by calling penalties on themselves and reporting their own score. The sport is a perfect platform for helping young people develop character because just like in life, players experience the highs and lows of the game.

LPGA*USGA Girls Golf
MISSION: To provide an opportunity for all girls to play the game of golf in a fun and supportive learning environment and to make the game more accessible to girls in the Savannah Coastal Empire.
LPGA-USGA Girls Golf supports girls by introducing them to the game of golf and the values that are inherent to the game. It provides an opportunity for girls, ages 7 to 17, to learn to play golf, create friendships, and experience competition in a fun, supportive environment, preparing them for a lifetime of enjoyment of the game.
Girls Golf provides a solid foundation for girls who want to play for fun with friends and family, to compete at the high school, college, and/or local, state and national levels or to learn for future career purposes, both inside and outside of the golf industry. The only national initiative of its kind, Girls Golf is administered through a partnership between The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Foundation and the United States Golf Association (USGA), both non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.
Girls Golf members learn values inherent to the game of golf, such as patience, respect, perseverance and honesty, preparing them to meet the challenges of today’s world with confidence. With over 250 programs across the globe and more than 10,000 members world-wide, LPGA-USGA Girls Golf has emerged as the leading golf program for girls in the country.
Join other girls age 6 -17 on Friday evenings at Bacon Park Golf Course from 4:30 – 5:30 pm to make new friends, learn about the game of golf, explore The First Tee Nine Core Values & Healthy Habits and take part in friendly competition.
The First Tee of Savannah partnerships with local youth organizations to bring TARGET Programs to youth at schools, during and after school.
Through local funding we provide youth enrichment services for community youth development organizations such as The Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs, Girl Scouts, YFACE, Young Men of Honor and Girls on the Run. Our chapter uses TARGET as a recruitment tool and markets our program to potential young people who may not be exposed to the game. TARGET uses SNAG equipment to bring our services to where ever youth may gather for enrichment throughout the Coastal Georgia Empire.
The First Tee of Savannah Mission: To impact the lives of young people in the Savannah area by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character-development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.
The First Tee of Savannah wants everyone to participate in our program. Sponsorship dollars are limited and will only be awarded to individuals with a verifiable financial hardship. Sponsorship is only available for session fees. Please contact the Office at 912-238-7108 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
