Membership Information

The First Tee of Savannah Mission: To positively impact the lives of young people in the Savannah Coastal Empire by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

Purpose: The First Tee of Savannah, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, will provide affordable programs and behavior enhancement skill opportunities for the youth of Savannah by using the great game of golf as the vehicle for personal development. The game instills and nurtures essential values, such as honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, self-discipline, dedication, self-esteem, confidence, goal setting and solid work ethics. The purpose of The First Tee of Savannah is to develop quality programs and provide access and opportunity for local youth, ages 6-17, to a variety of area golf facilities (affiliates), with an emphasis on young people who may not have had an opportunity to previously experience the game. The ultimate goal is to life skills to young people that they can personally adopt and nurture, as they move forward toward active and productive adulthood.

Frank Callen Boys and Girls Clubs, Boys and Girls Club of Bluffton, Bethesda Home for Boys, Risers Academy,  Victor Jenkins Boys Club, Young Men of Honor, 100 Black Men of Savannah, Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, Boy Scouts of America, YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Savannah Junior Golf Association, Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp of Rincon, and many more.

Membership Investments:
Annual Membership Fee – $100
Session Fees- $80

Annual Club Rental Fee- $25 per Session
(Financial-hardship Sponsorship Available)

All membership investments are applied to youth programming and scholarships for economically challenged members. No willing participant will be denied access due to economic situation. Please contact the Executive Director to discuss any such challenges.

Enrolled members will enjoy: at least an hour of life skills and/or instruction, or play per week; playing sessions with other members; participation in regularly scheduled clinics; opportunities to participate in national life skill academies; possible scholarships based upon academics and leadership qualities, as well as mentoring and role model training.
